Our Mission

‘To become the world leader in sheep breeding technologies’

Our people

Our staff are a key ingredient in Innovis’ success. Our geneticists, breeding programme managers and technical sales staff are experienced industry professionals and our administrative teams provide the infrastructure which enables us to service our customers from an efficient and cost-effective base.

Our pedigree

A spin-out company from Aberystwyth University, Innovis was established in 2004. Innovis quickly established a track record for the successful delivery of both government contracts and customer-focused commercial activity which enabled its portfolio of products and services to be expanded to embrace a range of species and for these to be delivered from a geographic base encompassing the whole of the UK and Ireland. Since 2007 Innovis has applied all of its technological expertise and experience to generate a selection of maternal and terminal lines that are suited to meet the individual needs and requirements of the modern sheep farmer. With 8 years of applied breeding, technological expertise and experience in creating a range of versatile and efficient breeding sheep, Innovis has taken the next step to creating a wider reach throughout the UK, and is now focussed solely on sheep genetics.

Our Centres

Innovis’ headquarters are in Aberystwyth, Mid Wales from where we also operate our centralised administration.

Innovis – working in partnership:

  • With leading manufacturers from around the world – Innovis works with world leaders in reproductive biotechnology and with technology providers to supply what we believe to be the best, high quality products to support animal breeding and health in a wide range of species - products that will enhance the success of UK breeding programmes.

  • With retailers and processors – We maintain a dialogue throughout the supply chain to ensure a consistent supply of lambs that meet their market requirements.

  • With breeders, veterinarians and breeding companies – Only by listening to our customers is Innovis able to ensure that our products and services meet their needs and expectations. Our highly experienced teams are able to ensure that each of our products and services are tailored to client’s own individual needs. In this way we can share our knowledge and experience to ensure a prosperous and sustainable future for us all.
