Marketing & Events Coordinator (Aberystwyth)


Innovis is seeking a well-organized, dynamic, and versatile individual with good communication and computer literacy skills to play a key role in marketing our commercial sheep breeding activities. Based in our Aberystwyth Centre, the role will encompass the coordination of marketing activity through various channels and support material for our ram sales and events throughout the UK.

Reporting to Dewi (CEO), the successful candidate will work alongside our operations and sales team to:

  • Implement and coordinate the various aspects of a marketing plan.
  • Working closely with an agency, develop digital channels for marketing to include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn. Manage and schedule content throughout the year.
  • In association with an agency, manage Innovis’ website content and development.
  • Manage Innovis’ portal on SellMyLivestock (SML), uploading ram sale catalogues and videos.
  • Manage third party crossbred female entries on SML and associated communication with sellers and buyers.
  • Working with a PR consultant, develop case study material for marketing.
  • Maintaining a library of photos and coordinate photoshoots to expand the library.
  • Maintain a calendar of marketing and sales events.
  • Book Shows, open day venues, accommodation, and catering for events.
  • Coordinate trade stand displays and prepare material for shows and events
  • Attend Shows and events throughout the UK as required
  • Preparation of marketing brochures, newsletters, and open days.
  • Develop sales of branded clothing to customers; manage stock ordering and inventory.
  • Add enquiries to the Customer Database (CRM) following events and communicate these to the sales team. Analyse the CRM to develop direct marketing channels to existing customers.
  • Collate feed-back questionnaires to customers and summarise findings to instigate improvements across the business.
  • Develop mailing lists for direct communication to customers.
  • Assist the CEO in the ongoing development of the marketing strategy and formation of an annual marketing plan for Innovis.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A commercial acumen and an interest/flair in marketing.
  • A degree or equivalent in a related subject.
  • Good computer literacy skills, including Microsoft Office suite.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Good emotional intelligence (EQ) to deal effectively with customers, stakeholders, & colleagues.
  • Experience of agriculture and sheep farming is desirable with a keen eye for livestock images.
  • A full clean driving license

The post will at times involve travel throughout Wales and the UK. The ability to communicate in Welsh could be an advantage but is not essential for this role
