HIGHLANDER RAMS CREATE A COMPACT, EFFICIENT EWE WITH STRONG MOTHERING ABILITY

The Highlander was established over 20 years ago in New Zealand to deliver improvements in production and performance. We have established a Highlander breeding nucleus in our Southfield Nucleus Flock in the Scottish Borders and the Highlander is now available in the UK exclusively through Innovis.  

Selected for easy lambing, good lamb vigour and growth from grass. Highlanders have the ability to increase prolificacy with potential to rear an additional 0.19 lambs when compared to standard UK crossbreds as well as reducing production costs associated to labour by up to 55p/kg.  

 

Highlander will suit your system if you: 

  Want a hardy ram that will improve kgs of lamb produced per acre 

  Want a reduced cost of production 

  Want to improve efficiency while maintaining biosecurity benefits of a closed flock 

  Want a hill cross to make the most of marginal land 

Ram Grade: Commercial, Select, Elite

All rams will be vaccinated against Bluetongue before the end of June, making sure your investment is protected and fertility won’t be impacted.

Innovis will guarantee the performance of all rams sold at its official sales for the first mating season after purchase, provided that the owner can demonstrate that they have made reasonable efforts to ensure the health, welfare and security of the ram during that period.

Anny issues post sale must be raised prior to 1st February after the year of purchase and accompanied by appropriate evidence/supporting documentation in addition to a veterinary report where applicable. In the event that a ram is found to be defective, a replacement ram of equivalent genetic potential will be supplied. A credit note for the value of the ram may be issued against the buyers next purchase if the replacement is not available. No cash refunds are given.
