INNOVIS ABERFIELD SR® MATERNAL RAMS

COMPACT, EFFICIENT AND HIGH QUALITY

ABERFIELD SR RAMS ARE SELECTED FOR MATERNAL ATTRIBUTES AS WELL AS GROWTH AND MUSCLING.

An Aberfield Self Replacer (SR) ram is bred with a combination of Aberfield and Lleyn genetics, it was first introduced in 2016. These maternal sires are bred off grass under commercial conditions and have a mating capacity of 80-100 ewes. Aberfield SR rams will produce an efficient replacement ewe averaging a bodyweight of 60kg to 65kg while achieving a scanning percent of 200%.

Aberfield SR will suit your system if you:

  • Want to maintain a closed flock system, breeding your own replacements
  • Would like to produce replacement ewes of 60kg to 65kgs.
  • Increase prolificacy with a scanning percentage up to 200%
  • Want to reduce production costs but maintain lamb output
Ram Grade: Commercial, Select, Elite

All rams will be vaccinated against Bluetongue before the end of June, making sure your investment is protected and fertility won’t be impacted.

Innovis will guarantee the performance of all rams sold at its official sales for the first mating season after purchase, provided that the owner can demonstrate that they have made reasonable efforts to ensure the health, welfare and security of the ram during that period.

Anny issues post sale must be raised prior to 1st February after the year of purchase and accompanied by appropriate evidence/supporting documentation in addition to a veterinary report where applicable. In the event that a ram is found to be defective, a replacement ram of equivalent genetic potential will be supplied. A credit note for the value of the ram may be issued against the buyers next purchase if the replacement is not available. No cash refunds are given.
