Administrator/Accounts Assistant

Part time (22.5 hrs/week)

Based in Aberystwyth

Innovis is seeking a well-organised, dynamic, and versatile individual with good communication and computer literacy skills to play a key role in supporting the Ram Administration and assisting the Accounts Department.

Based at our Aberystwyth Centre, reporting to our CEO & Accounts Manager, this role is key for administrating the Ram Production System, dealing with the Breeding Team, Ram Growers and Breeding Partners.

  • Responsible for keeping the Ram Master spreadsheet up to date.
  • Responsible for recording the rams growing, raising invoices and self-bills where necessary.
  • Responsible for maintaining Breeding Partner statements.
  • Assist on ram sale days to ensure the smooth running of the invoicing team; this will require some travel within the UK during sale season.
  • Responsible for uploading ram information from the Ram Master spreadsheet to the Sage 200 accounting system.
  • Assist with maintaining the Stock Take & Stock Records on Sage 200.

 

  • Raise customer invoices on Sage 200 (Rams/Services).
  • Enter cash receipts onto Sage 200.
  • Take credit card payments from customers.
  • Maintain Debtors Ledger.

 

  • Assist with the administration of livestock movement records.
  • Provide general customer service duties including handling telephone enquiries, taking and distributing messages.
  • Assist with checking and entering supplier invoices onto Sage 200.
  • Assist with general administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of the office.
  • Other duties reasonably requested by the CEO or Accounts Manager.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Good organisational skills and meticulous attention to
  • Good computer literacy skills, including Microsoft Excel (with experience in Sage Accounting an advantage but not essential).
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to deal effectively with customers &
  • Experience of agriculture and sheep farming is desirable, but not essential.
  • A full clean driving
  • Ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable, but not essential.

 

The post will involve travel throughout Wales and the UK during ram sale season. Additional hours will be required during the ram sale season (July to October) with the opportunity to take TOIL during winter months.

 

The salary will be based on experience and a 4% contribution to the Company’s Stakeholder Pension Scheme after 3-months work.
