Technical Sales Person (Scotland – Central & North)

Location: based from home in Central Scotland (e.g. Stirling/Perth)

We are looking for a dynamic individual to develop the Innovis brand, maintain valuable customer relationships and drive new sales of rams and breeding stock in Scotland. The role requires a self-motivated confident person with good communication skills.  A good attention to detail for administration of the sales / credit and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) database activity will also be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders in Scotland.
  • Selling of rams through direct selling and through Innovis ram sales and delivery of rams as required
  • Answering client enquiries, via phone, email, social media or farm visits
  • Managing a client database for the region (SAGE CRM system)
  • Assist the head office staff with marketing with developing the annual marketing plan and contribution to Social Media posts
  • Driving awareness through farmer meetings and student talks/discussions.
  • To arrange and attend shows as arranged pre-season
  • Attendance at sales meetings in person or via video link
  • Assistance with regional breeding partners as required.

Key Skills:

  • Professional attitude with good communication
  • Commercial acumen, preferably with sales experience
  • Sheep farming background
  • Systems literacy – ability to manage the CRM system for the Region
  • Can do attitude, team player.

Terms of Employment:

  • The role will permanent, but full or part- time applications will be considered in order to get the right person. A self- employed arrangement can also be considered.
  • The majority of the work will be required between May – November annually in line with the sheep breeding season.
  • Extensive travelling throughout Scotland will be required during the peak work period. A company car can be provided for full time appointments or mileage claimed for using your own car at the HMRC rate. Towing and transport of animals will be an essential part of the role.
