Employee Name: New Role

PT Role: 15hrs per week  Monday and Saturday 7am to 2pm (30 min unpaid break)

Reporting to: Centre Manager (Nigel Walpole) and Assistant Manager (Laboratory Manager)

Assisting in the processing of semen in the laboratory in line with the required processes and standards

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tipping the individual boars in to the pool bucket and removing liners from the individual boar buckets
  • Transfer the pool bucket on the machine and input the data for the pool into the GTB Machine.
  • Taking off the samples label and put in the correct trays/boxes
  • Running the GTB machine for semen processing, to include checking the weights, changing baskets under the machine and changing the rolls and stickers when required.
  • Replacing the individual boar bucket liners and small jug liners (any other consumables) as required.
  • Any other duties as reasonably requested by the Centre Manager or the Assistant Manager.
