 Semen Evaluation
 
Evaluation is an integral part of semen processing that allows you to produce accurate, rapid and consistent semen quality.  The morphology, motility and concentration of the semen at the collection stage determines whether the boar semen is going to pass the top-rate threshold.

This machine has been developed to accurately measure the concentration of the ejaculate.  This allows the ejaculate to be processed to the maximum dilution rate as well as subsequently creating a consistent dilution measurement for the technician.  
 
Using the accucell improves the precision of semen processing, and can help in examples such as processing individuals that are generally more difficult to dilute successfully. 
The accucell features:
 
Absorbance: real time display,
 
Concentration: simultaneous display of the concentration and absorbance after a user definable display,
 
Direct reading of concentration/calculation: absorbance, indicates volume of extender to be added and number of doses are calculated and displayed.

This device  is ideal for a small system that want accurate semen concentration readings, enabling dilution rates to be accurately converted manually by the technician. 
 
It is a small and portable sperm cell density meter that operates on AC and battery. 
Direct concentration readings of the ejaculate are obtained  through long-life LED source.  It displays results in direct concentration or absorbance menu.  It is delivered with a RS 232 plug.

The in-built warmstage allows the optimum temperature for semen examination to be precise and consistent.

Automatic evaluation
  • ULTIMATE semen analyser (018426) -  If high-end performance using the industry standard is key to your lab, then ULTIMATE is the system for you.  All optic components are built into one integrated workstation.  Strobe illumination provides the sharpest imaging.  Automated and built-in, heated stage for precise temperature control and sample postioning.  Preselection of fields for fast analysis and capable of optional IDENT fluorescence.
  • CEROS version 1 semen analyser (TBA) - If objectivity and accuracy of automated analysis is someting you want for your lab, but at a more affordable price, then CEROS is the system for you.  The external microscope allows the computer to be safely stored away from the lab bench.  It has familiar, standard microscope illumination with a portable MinTherm Stage Warmer that maintains the samples at 37 degrees C.  The X-Y stage meovement increases the number of fields for motility and morphology.  However, the CEROS system is not  compatible with IDENT fluorescence.
