Finance Assistant (Aberystwyth) 

 

Innovis is seeking a well-organised and versatile individual with a can-do attitude and career aspirations in Finance to assist in supporting our Finance Office. The role is based in our Aberystwyth office.

 Reporting to our Management Accountant, the successful candidate will work alongside our Accounts Assistant and will assist in: 

  • Raising Invoices onto Sage 200
  • Checking and entering supplier invoices onto Sage 200
  • Entering cash receipts onto Sage 200
  • Administration of Petty Cash
  • Banking (as required)
  • Maintaining stock records on Sage 200
  • Assist in the maintenance of the Sage Customer Database (CRM System)
  • Responsibility for the franking machine; level of credit and consumables.
  • Archiving and general filing
  • Office stationary; stock levels and ordering
  • Providing general customer service duties including handling telephone enquiries, taking and distributing messages
  • Maintenance of company vehicle and employee mileage records and pool vehicle bookings/maintenance. Vehicle Insurance.
  • Responsibility for printers and photocopiers; ordering consumables and liaising with engineers as necessary.
  • Assistance on Ram sale days to ensure the smooth running of the invoicing team; this may require some travel within the UK.
  • Other duties reasonably requested by the Management Accountant

 The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent computer literacy skills
  • Experience in data manipulation within excel.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal skills in order to deal effectively with farmers, suppliers and team members.
  • Experience of agriculture and/or sheep breeding is not essential but may be helpful.
  • A full clean driving license.

 The post will at times involve travel throughout Wales and the UK.
