Embryo Transfer (ET) can be an efficient way of multiplying the offspring from your elite females. Innovis has teams of embryologists who offer embryo transfer services to breeders across the UK.

Donor Ewes are stimulated with hormones so that they produce more ovulations than usual. Recipients are synchronised to be at the same stage of their cycle at the best time to receive the embryos. An ET programme usually lasts 19-20 days with the ewe being AI'd on day 14 and the embryos being "flushed" from her 5-6 days later. Embryos can either be transferred fresh or can be frozen for future use. |
We have a series of factsheets on ET which will shortly be available for download here
